One option is rent-to-own, or Lease Option, where the buyer contributes a percentage of the rent each month towards purchasing the home. Then after an agreed upon time, usually 3 to 5 years, the buyer has the option of buying the property. This is ideal for those with less than ideal credit as it gives them time to repair their credit in anticipation of buying the home.
